Is waterproof flooring durable?
Waterproof Floors are so durable they’re even graded for commercial use. Everyone, no matter where they live, needs this type of floor. They stand up to anything.
What makes it different?
A couple of things. First, it's luxury vinyl, engineered to be more durable. Putting it into perspective, these floors are thicker than luxury vinyl.
Luxury vinyl is five times thicker than the original product. That’s a lot of thickness!
These waterproof floors work hard but have all the style and characteristics of LVF.
WPC and SPC
Wood Plastic Composite (WPC) and Stone Plastic Composite (SPC) are two technologically advanced cores that come with these floors. Cores provide stability and combat moisture.
WPC and SPC won't soak or stain ever. We know someone who was at his vacation home for months. He returned to find a dishwasher flood but with no damage.
Both cores offer the same high level of moisture protection. The difference is in the feeling underfoot. WPC is more flexible while SPC is solid and rigid.
Other waterproof flooring options
1. Luxury vinyl. These offer images of wood, stone, and tile created with high definition. There are micro beveling, embossing, and textured looks.
2. Stone core LVP. This is luxury vinyl plank, amped-up with the SPC core. These floors have superior dent resistance, making them stand up to heavy traffic of commercial applications.
